The love of God for His enslaved people

We are beginning our study through the book of Exodus, an amazing story of God delivering His people out of slavery and bringing them to himself. In the passage we are looking at, we see the people of God going into slavery because of the oppression of the new king of Egypt (Exodus 1:8). They suffered greatly under this oppression (Exodus 1:13-14). God seemed hidden, but he was not silent to their suffering (Exodus 1:20-21, 2:24-25). He loved them and would do something about their suffering. In today’s study, we are going to look at the causes of suffering, and what God does in the midst of our suffering.
