The Guardian, The Son, And The Promised Family
Paul is explaining to the Galatians about the purpose of the law which is to reveal our sins and how we are in need of a savior. The law was never designed to give us life, and hence is not contrary to the promises given by God to ‘Abraham and his seed’. We are justified only by believing in what Christ has done for us and we don’t need to be under the law anymore. We are accepted as children of God and Abraham’s seed and heirs when we believe in Christ Jesus who died on the cross and accomplished the law on our behalf.
