Every person’s life story contains elements that we are proud of, and elements that we are ashamed of. We tend to elevate the good parts, and hide the bad. And when it comes to our relationship with God, we are even more inclined to hide the negative and embellish the positive. We think that doing so will make us more acceptable to Him.
Imagine our surprise then when Jesus took on flesh and, in introducing himself, rather than presenting himself in the strongest possible light, deliberately includes embarrassing elements of his ancestry. Why does he do so? Because in the gospel, Jesus willingly enters our broken stories, in order that His redemptive story of death and resurrection might be ours. Join us on Christmas Eve as we explore the God who entered our story so that His story might be ours.
This combined service will take place on Tuesday, 24 December, 6pm, with all three congregations at Suntec City Convention Centre (Halls 401 & 402). As we anticipate a large crowd, we encourage you to arrive early. We will have brownies baked by one of our M&J beneficiaries available from 5pm at the Community Hub just outside the halls.
Children are welcome, with Kids' Packs available, as there will be no Kids’ Ministry.
We encourage you to consider praying now about friends or family to invite to our Christmas Eve service—perhaps the very ones that you will be sparking spiritual conversations with over a meal this season. Pick up physical invitation cards and our Advent cards in the Foyer on Sundays.
