Firstly, we are deeply connected to Redemption Hill Church and we will be part of RHC for a foreseeable future before we are independent. Hence, the name 恩岭 has a close connection with Redemption Hill, because 恩 signifies grace and 岭 is one of the many synonyms in Mandarin for hill or ridge.

Secondly, our salvation was indeed purchased for us by our Saviour on a hill by his grace, and our name reminds us of that magnificent event 2000 years ago.

Thirdly, 恩岭 is a Mandarin pun on being led by grace as 岭 (ling) has the same tone and sound as 领 (ling), a word for leadership or guidance. Hence, this expresses our desire to be founded and led by grace.
