The average person will spend 90,000 hours at work over a lifetime, which translates to one-third of our lifespan. Notwithstanding its rewards, it seems like no matter which sphere of work we find ourselves in, there will always be a mixed bag of what is fulfilling, noble, flourishing, draining, toilsome, even and despairing sometimes.
How then should we think about work? In this edition of Table Talk, we hope to understand how do most of us cope with the good, the bad and the ugly parts of work. Also, to consider if there might be an alternative answer to that. This topic is not just relevant to Christians, so do bring along any friends who may be keen, and let's explore this together.
