Evangelism is an every-Christian endeavour. Christ commands, and His love compels us to take His gospel to the ends of the earth. Yet for most of us, if we’re honest, talking to others about Jesus can be intimidating and incredibly hard. It requires us to face barriers such as fear, inadequacy, and even just the busyness of our own lives. In 2024 (and beyond), we hope to catalyse and cultivate a lifestyle of evangelism at RHC. We begin first by asking Jesus to work in all our hearts—compassion for the lost. From there, we will go about this through prayer and practice. We have a few opportunities for you to be supported as you "go and tell" the good news to those in your life. But we do so with the assurance that it is not our own skills and eloquence that convicts hearts, but rather the power of the Spirit.

For the first half of 2024, we seek to encourage and equip you in our Walking through the Word: An Evangelistic Introduction workshop! Prepare your heart and be introduced to an evangelistic Bible study resource that you can use to walk with your non-Christian friends in discovering God. This session is open to one and all, regardless of whether you already have someone in mind to walk through the Word with. The heart behind this is to help us as a church learn to rest in God's Word and the Spirit's work, rather than ourselves and our methodologies, as we help others discover Christ.
